Andy Warhol

“If you want to know all about Andy Warhol, just look at the surface: of my paintings and films and me, and there I am. There’s nothing behind it.” − Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol transformed how we see both art and the world. From the 1960s until his death in 1987, he captured the imagery of postwar consumer culture and turned it into a body of work that was both sophisticated and accessible.  He redefined fine art by blending painting, photography, film, publishing, branding, and even his own persona into a unified creative practice. Though often overshadowed by his celebrity, Warhol remains one of the most influential postwar artists of the 20th century.
